Sages comme des Sauvages

Sages comme des Sauvages is first and foremost a Franco-American-Greco-Corso-Brussels duo made up of Ava Carrère and Ismaël Colombani. The group draws its inspiration from refined tribal music, which it dips into urban chanson with instruments gleaned here and there from different continents. They generously craft bewitching ritornellos with poetic pleading and "dark-flamboyant" melodies, using anger as an engine for positive, festive reactions.
In their third album, Maison Maquis, released in 2024, Sages comme des Sauvages promise us a vibrant musical odyssey, where Reunionese, Oriental, Greek and Occitan influences resonate, woven with Afro-Cuban rhythms.

The program is part of a partnership between the Communauté de Communes Andaine-Passais, the town of Domfront en Poiraie and C?61.
