A masterpiece of Gothic architecture, Notre-Dame Cathedral is located in the heart of Paris, on the Île de la Cité, and was first built in the Middle Ages, in 1163, and completed nearly 180 years later, in 1345. Damaged during the French Revolution, Notre Dame Cathedral was restored in the 19th century by Eugène Viollet-le-Duc.
The cathedral's dimensions are breathtaking: 128 m long, 41 m wide and 33 m high under the vault. It boasts numerous stained-glass windows and rose windows, two of which are 13 meters in diameter and among the largest in Europe.
