Along a listed boulevard lined with sumptuous residences, the Belle Époque district is one of the symbols of the splendour of Bagnoles. The architectural unity of the protected sector creates a particular atmosphere of the beginning of the 20th century. In 1886, Albert Christophle, a lawyer and Minister of Public Works, drew up very strict specifications for the construction of this district, which would welcome the emerging middle class: use of local and natural materials, volumes, imposed colours, etc.
It is possible to discover it on a self-guided tour (brochure available for download) or on guided tours (see the agenda).
