Every winter, the Normandy bocage is decked out in its finest lights!
From the beginning of December to the beginning of January, dozens of villages are lit up to the delight of visitors. Come on foot, by car or by coach, and discover this magical journey, the only one of its kind in France.
Since 1996, the Illuminated Towns and Villages competition has brought together nearly a hundred villages in the bocage region. Thanks to the commitment of hundreds of enthusiastic volunteers, thousands of illuminated motifs come to life, attracting thousands of visitors every year from all over the region? and far beyond!

From La Sauvagère to Céaucé, via Beauchêne, La Michaudière, St Mars d?Egrenne and Rouellé, each village becomes a beacon in the Norman night, a symbol of conviviality and celebration.

Les Villages Illuminés means :
- thousands of original lights and decorations,
- hundreds of volunteers,
- thousands of visitors every year,
- a competition unique in Europe, a driving force behind the region's development.
