In July and August, visit the Royal Prison Museum on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 2.30pm.
The cells, dungeon and chapel call out to visitors who are almost afraid of coming face to face with one of those Chouans who taunted the Republicans who were once loyal to the bloodthirsty Robespierre.
